While playing for the national team he conquered 8 South American Championships, 8 World League, 3 World Championships, a gold in 2004 Summer Olympics, silver in Beijing Olympics, and London Olympics respectively where he led the team. He decided to get retire from professional volleyball in 2014 at the age of 37.
