No 1. Rio Carnival

Rio Carnival is ranked on 1st position in the list of Top 10 Events in the World. This event is organized every year in Brazil. The first-ever carnival was organized in 1723 in Rio. This event is most probably related to culture and religion. In the earlier times of the 1650s, the feasts were organized to thank the Greek Wine Gods. People also worship the god of the grape-harvest ‘Bacchus.’ This event was the inspiration for carnivals in Brazil. In 1840 the first-ever Rio masquerade was organized with polka and waltz. The event is organized in the first week of October every year, Albuquerque. This event lasts for 9 days, and it consists of up to 500 hot-air ballons every year. This event is organized at the Balloon Fiesta Park, the northern edge of the city. This event is organized by a non-profit organization –  ‘Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.’ This is a very unbelievable and adventurous event. The people consume large quantities of beer during this event, and there are many more interesting things like amusement rides, side stalls, and games. The Tomorrowland Festival is an electronic dance music festival that is organized in Boom, Flanders, Belgium. The Tomorrowland event was first time organized in the year 2005. From the Year 2005, the event was organized every year till 2019. But due to Covid-19 Pandemic, the event was not organized in 2020, but after the vaccination program, maybe it will be possible in 2021, but not sure. This festival also has its own flag. The logo of this flag consists of a butterfly, a crown, and an eye. The butterfly in the flag indicates freedom and the beauty of nature. The crown indicates equality and supervision. And The eye indicates that people should look out for each other and admire nature’s beauty. The flag’s background consists of four colors that indicate water, earth, fire, and air.

This event also invites different artists is from different countries. In 2019 Bernard Haitink, Anne-Sophie, Sir Simon Rattle, and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra were also part of the event.

The Cork Jazz Festival is a music festival that is organized every year in Cork City, Ireland. This event was first time organized on 27th October 1978. Jim Mountjoy discovered this event. This event is the largest Jazz event in Ireland. This event is a very well-known festival, and it attracts many musicians and music lovers. Jim Mountjoy also visited Canada, the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom to make the event popular in other countries. In 2015 some non-jazz artists such as Gray Numan, The Boomtown Rats, and The Coronas also became part of the event.
