  1. IIT JEE (Joint Entrance Exam)

IIT JEE is an engineering entrance exam that allows students to get admission to the top engineering institutes in India. Students seeking admission are shortlisted based on two core levels of IIT-JEE: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. You must have to clear JEE Main first and then can opt for JEE Advanced. After clearing JEE, Advanced students can get admission to the most reputed colleges of the country. The passing rate of this exam is meager. More than 14 Lakh students appear for the JEE Main exams, but unfortunately, only 2 Lakh students get the opportunity to appear in JEE Advanced exam. Moreover, only 10,000 to 11,000 students get a chance to study in their dream college.

  1. UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) exam

UPSC holds this exam for IAS (Indian Administrative Service), IPS (Indian Police Service), and IFS (Indian Foreign Service) posts. More than 10 lakh candidates apply to write this exam. To become IPS, IAS or IFS, you have to clear 3 rounds, the first round is a preliminary test, the second is the main exam, and the last is a personal interview round. To be eligible for this exam, the candidates must have a graduate degree from a recognized university. The passing rate of this exam is between 0.1 and 0.3%. this is being considered the second toughest exam in India.

  1. CAT (Common Admission Test)

It is a great gateway to get admission to business and management schools in India. In this exam, candidates are evaluated based on their English Skills, Logical Reasoning, and Mathematics. The colleges offering MBA courses consider the CAT exam results of students.

The minimum Eligibility criteria of this exam are that candidates should achieve a minimum of 50% in their bachelor’s degree. This exam is conducted in three sections of 100 questions with 300 marks; this exam also has negative marking, which deducts 1mark for each wrong answer. It is the toughest exam in India, and failing is too common here.

  1. GATE

This exam is somehow similar to JEE exam as it is conducted to admit students into Master and Doctoral courses in Engineering, Architecture, Technology, and Science. This exam is conducted for Postgraduates courses, while JEE is for undergraduate courses. The score obtained in this exam is only valid for 3 years from the result announcement date. Students who are having a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a master’s degree in Computer Applications, Science, Mathematics, or statistics are eligible for the GATE exam. This exam is conducted for the duration of three hours and has 65 questions. The is a total of 100 marks on paper; for each wrong answer, it deducts 1/3 marks from 1 marks question and 2/3 from 2 marks question.

This test is ideal for candidates who want to study medical courses. This exam is conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency).  The minimum eligibility criteria of this exam are that the candidate should be pass in 12th with a minimum of 50% marks, and the candidate should have subjects including Biology, Chemistry, And Physics. The age requirement for this exam is 17 to 25 years. More than 10 Lakh students give this exam, and only around 1 Lakh students get admission. This exam is ideal for students who want to get admission to AIIMs campuses. If you have a dream to study in AIIMs campuses, then this exam is compulsory for you. This exam is somehow similar to the NEET exam, but NEET allows students to get into different medical colleges in India. This exam is to be done on the computer, including topics General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The exam usually has 200 questions from all the subjects. Many students have dreams of getting a medical degree from AIIMs, because of which more than 1 Lakh students appear for this exam every year.

  1. CLAT

Candidates who are looking to make their careers in the field of law can opt for this exam. Those who crack this exam can get admission in LLM, BA LLB, BSc LLB, BSW LLB, and B.COM LLB. 16 National Law Universities accept the scores a candidate achieves from CLAT Exams in India. More than 60,000 students appear for this exam, but only 5% of candidates make it to National Law University in India. This is an offline exam, and the duration of the exam is two hours. This exam also has a negative marking that deducts 0.25 marks from each wrong answer. The minimum eligibility criteria to sit in this exam is that the candidate should have at least 40% marks in his 12th standard.

  1. NDA (National Defense Academy exam)

This exam is for those candidates who want to join Air Force, Army, or Navy. Union Public Service Commission conducts this exam. Cracking this exam is not that easy one should be mentally and physically strong. This exam includes a psychological aptitude test, intelligence test, personality test, and personal interview. More than 4 lakh candidates appear for this exam, but only around 6000 candidates are called for SSB interviews. This exam is also having negative marking as it deducts 0.33% for each wrong answer.

  1. UGC-NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test)

This exam is ideal for those who want to become a lecturer. National Testing Agency conducts this exam. Many students take 4-5 attempts to clear this exam. To apply for this exam, one should have a post-graduate degree with a 55% score. The exam is divided into two sections having 50 questions of 100 marks, and the duration of the exam is 1 hour. The question included in the exam is Reasoning, General Awareness, Aptitude, and Comprehension.

  1. NID (National Institute of Design) Entrance Exam

The NID admission committee conducts this exam to check out the creativity level of the candidates in the field of design minimum eligibility criteria of this exam because the candidate should have his or her 12th standard. This exam tests general mental ability, design skills, animation, communication skills, and other skills related to this course.
